Hello those who have just stumbled upon this page, and to those I’ve force fed the link until they’ve just given in and taken a browse. Welcome to my portfolio and journal.
I’ll be using this space to record milestones and things I’ve learnt over my career in software engineering and hopefully give those who are new to this sector a true insight into working as a software engineer.
I’m quite blunt when it comes to these sort of things, I once had critique that I had “confidence beyond my years” which is a polite way of saying that I’m a gobshite which is something I think everyone should learn in every sector. If you don’t like something… say so!
I’ve had many terrible jobs which have lead to dead ends, and stories abundant which I’m hoping that one day I can spin into some sort of wisdom for those starting their careers in this sector, but like even the most seasoned engineers. Nobody stops learning.
As I’m writing this, I’m 24 years old and just recently bought a house with my partner. I’m hoping over the years I can add more to this blog and look back at this post and the collection of posts to come and see how far I’ve come. Hopefully even write a blog about a dog or two that we might be getting 🐶.
So with that being said; shall we begin?
